Cycleai started from a simple observation. Most conversational products are built to be useful, and almost none of them are built to be good company. Answers arrive quickly, correctly and completely without personality, and after a few minutes there is nothing to come back for.

A small cast, written properly

Instead of one voice that tries to be everything, Cycleai has a small cast. Each character has a background, a set of interests, a way of handling silence and a way of handling bad days. Selvinka is not a different colour scheme applied to Kalindra; they ask different questions and they are interested in different answers.

Writing a character takes time, so the catalogue grows slowly. We would rather have ten personalities people recognise than fifty that blur together after a paragraph.

Deliberately non-explicit

Cycleai is for adults, and it is not an adult content service. That distinction matters to us. The conversations are warm, sometimes flirtatious in an ordinary human way, and never explicit. What the characters are for is company: talking through a day, building a story, arguing about something harmless, sitting with someone at one in the morning.

What we are not

The characters are fictional and the replies are generated. They are not therapists, doctors, lawyers or crisis support, and we say so plainly rather than burying it. Anyone who needs real help should get it from a qualified person.

How we think about your information

We collect as little as we can get away with, we explain what we keep in the privacy policy, and we ask for cookie consent instead of assuming it. There is no hidden cleverness in that; it is simply how we would want to be treated.
